Sergio Aguayo, the 23-year-old forward loaned out by Guadalajara Chivas to Colombia's Deportes Tolima, has started to make an impact with his first goals. The young attacker has played five matches and scored twice, accumulating 217 minutes in the process.

Guadalajara Chivas sought to give him regular competitive minutes outside Mexico and the move is paying off. Aguayo debuted from the bench and scored his first goal as a substitute against Llaneros. His performance earned him a starting spot soon after.

His second strike came from the penalty spot in the Copa Libertadores. Aguayo converted a penalty in the 22nd minute against América de Cali, making it 1-0 in a match that finished 1-1. The forward even attempted a bicycle kick that was ruled out for offside.

While Aguayo progresses in Colombia, Guadalajara Chivas are enjoying a strong run at home. The red-and-white side sits second in Liga MX with 18 points after nine games, just one point behind leaders Toluca. Their last result was a 2-2 draw against Club America on September 20, a match where Bryan González and an own goal from Miguel Vázquez scored for Chivas.

Forward Roberto Alvarado is the team's top scorer this season with three goals. Guadalajara Chivas's next fixture is against fifth-placed Club Queretaro at home on September 26. All information on upcoming matches is available on our fixtures calendar.

Sergio Aguayo's loan to Deportes Tolima is scheduled for the entire season.
