Pachuca manager Benjamín Mora expressed enthusiasm and a lack of fear ahead of the upcoming match against Guadalajara Chivas. The Mexican tactician spoke with Record this Friday, revealing his special motivation for the duel that will see Gabriel Milito on the opposing sideline.
Mora has prior experience facing the Sacred Flock. During his tenure in charge of Atlas in 2023, he contested the Clásico Tapatío five times, both at Estadio Jalisco and the Akron. That experience, plus two more meetings in 2025 where he successfully defended home turf, gives him a clear perspective on the match's demands. "I really want to face Chivas, I have a lot of excitement," the coach stated in the interview.
Tactical analysis has been a fundamental part of the preparation. Mora highlighted that he has closely studied Milito's team's functioning over time. He trusts the knowledge gained about their playing style to draw up an effective plan. Pachuca will seek vital points in the standings, where every result counts in the fight for the season's objectives.
Concentration will be key throughout the ninety minutes. The boss of La Bella Airosa emphasized that the match will require moment-to-moment steadfastness, capitalizing on any factors that may arise. The full squad will be available to contribute to this challenge.
Mora anticipates a significant presence of red-and-white supporters in the stands but fully trusts that the Hidalgo faithful will respond. He expects their support to counter the away pressure and strengthen his players from the first whistle. "I know the fans will be against us because they are going to fill the stadium." he remarked.
This atmosphere is something the team has managed in the past. The club's stats reflect notable solidity at home, a factor they undoubtedly want to maintain.
The encounter represents a high-level test for both teams in their Liga MX campaign. For Pachuca, getting a result against a historic rival like Guadalajara always carries extra value, both sportingly and psychologically. A good result can provide momentum for the upcoming matchdays.
The match is part of a tight schedule for Los Tuzos, who can check their full fixtures calendar. The team's next outing after this clash will be on September 14th, when they visit Rayados de Monterrey at Estadio BBVA.
