The results reflect an adverse panorama: in 2022 and 2023, they accumulated defeats that left them without victories, while in 2024 they were eliminated after losing in penalty shootouts. In 2025, although they won two matches (one in penalties), they failed to qualify, maintaining the negative trend.
During the 2022 edition, the Guadalajara fell against teams like LA Galaxy and FC Cincinnati, anticipating what would come in the following years. It was not until 2025 that they achieved their first regular-time victory, beating FC Cincinnati 2-1, although without any real impact on their classification.
Failures in Concachampions and World Club Cup
After the 2018 title, the Concachampions did not bring any joy. In 2024, Chivas was eliminated by América in the quarterfinals, and in 2025 they fell again against the same rival in a more decisive manner.
This is added to their participation in the 2018 World Club Cup, where they lost to Kashima Antlers and Espérance de Tunis, closing a tournament far below expectations.
