Guadalajara Chivas is set to receive a historic financial boost thanks to FIFA's Club Benefits Program. This program activates when key players are loaned to the Mexican National Team, known as 'El Tri'. Among the selected players are Hormiga González, Brian Gutiérrez, Luis Romo, Tala Rangel, and 'Piojo' Alvarado. Since May 7, when the players were called up, the club has begun to tally the economic benefits this represents. For each player, FIFA stipulates a payment of $11,000 daily, meaning Guadalajara Chivas could receive a total of $55,000 daily for the five players called up. So far, the club has secured approximately $2,750,000, averaging $550,000 per player. This figure could increase as Mexico progresses in the tournament, which is crucial for the club's finances following a recent sporting setback. The participation of these players in the World Cup not only represents an opportunity for the national team but also a financial safeguard for Guadalajara Chivas, which is looking to recover from a challenging season in the Clausura playoffs.
