The Estadio Akron is the home of Chivas in Liga MX. It has a capacity of 46,355 spectators. It was inaugurated in 2010 as one of the most innovative stadiums in Mexican football, with a sustainable design by architects Jean-Marie Massaud and Daniel Pouzet. The current name is linked since 2018 after an agreement with the AKRON company, a Mexican leader in lubricants, oils and automotive products. The four group stage matches of the 2026 World Cup to be played at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara are: South Korea vs. Mexico, Mexico vs. Canada, Mexico vs. South Korea and Mexico vs. Canada.
